On 09 May 2023 after reading positive reports on Island Outfitters website I tried Quennell Lake for smallmouth bass in the afternoon .
Fishing was EXCCELLENT casting a green/brown bead head damsel bugger close to shore in shallow spots where bass were likely to get ready to nest and spawn. Fish were up to 19 inches in length (4lbs) and a handful on my 5wt rod with clear camo line and short 18 inch 6 lb flour leader
